"Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way." That is my favorite song! Singing makes me smile, and smiling’s my favorite pastime. Every year when Christmas rolls around, it’s bittersweet. I mean of course I still love Christmas, but it makes me think of the beginning. When I could hardly sleep through the night, because I was so excited, and never dared get out of bed when I woke up ready to jump with excitement, because "Santa won’t come" if I’m awake. Then it makes me think back of Christmas vacation, and how exciting that was, to have nothing to do for at least a week and half, but hang out with my friends, who also had nothing else to do. Those were the days. As much fun as the seasons were, there’s one thing that sticks out in my mind, and that’s hanging up the Outdoor Christmas Lights with my father. Every year, without fail, it was something that we did together. We both looked forward to it, and always had a great time. Of course, there were times when it would get a bit complicated, like if one light went out, and then all the rest of the lights would go out. Couldn’t they come up with a better system for that? Regardless though, no matter the weather, we’d hang the Outdoor Christmas lights, through the snow, up the ladder, and onto the "S" hook that held them up around the frame of my house. Then after a few hours, and a few trips to the hardware store, that has since become a bank and a daycare center, to get replacement bulbs for the ones that didn’t make it through the winter, or out of the garage and onto the lawn, we would take a few steps back onto the quiet street, and appreciate our workmanship. Those few minutes were so great, I would relish in them, and then immediately after, I would start looking forward to next year. Today, I continue the tradition, and can appreciate the advances in technology, when I order my Outdoor Christmas Lights and outdoor furniture from Outdoorfurnitureco.com. Merry Christmas!
